Quality assurance

Website QA and Testing

A broken order button costs you dinner service. We test your website the way your customers use it, on real phones and browsers, and we catch the problems before they do.

Test before your customers do

Every menu update, plugin update, and platform change is a chance for something to break. We run structured QA on your site so the order button, the reservation form, and the phone number work every time, on every device that matters.

What we cover

Functional testing. Every link, button, form, and flow, checked against how it is supposed to behave. We follow the paths your customers take, from finding your hours to completing an order.

Cross-device and cross-browser. Real iPhones and Android phones, tablets, and desktops across Safari, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. Layout, tap targets, and load times are checked on each.

Ordering and reservations. We place real test orders and bookings through your platform, confirm the emails and receipts arrive, and check what happens when something goes wrong: an out-of-stock item, a declined card, a closed kitchen.

Performance. Page speed, image weight, and Core Web Vitals, with specific recommendations when the site is slow.

Regression testing. Before a launch or after a major change, we re-run the full checklist so nothing that used to work stops working.

How you get the results

A clear report with every issue rated by severity, screenshots, and steps to reproduce. No jargon. If you want us to fix the issues, we can. If you have a developer, the report is written so they can act on it immediately.

Pair it with accessibility

QA confirms your site works. Accessibility testing confirms it works for everyone. Restaurants that do both get a site that is faster, safer, and open to every guest. See our ADA compliance for restaurants service.

Questions about website QA and testing

What do you actually test?

Everything a customer can touch. Navigation, menus, ordering and reservation flows, forms, payments, confirmation emails, maps and hours, and how it all behaves on phones, tablets, and desktops across the major browsers.

Do you test sites you did not build?

Yes. Most QA engagements are for sites built by someone else. We report what we find with screenshots and steps to reproduce, and we can fix the issues ourselves or hand the report to your developer.

How often should a restaurant website be tested?

Before launch, after any redesign, and after changes to menus, hours, or ordering platforms. Many clients keep a monthly check so seasonal updates never break the basics.

Is QA the same as accessibility testing?

They overlap but are not the same. QA confirms the site works as intended. Accessibility testing confirms it works for people with disabilities. We offer both, and most restaurants benefit from doing them together.

Most projects combine two or three of these. We will recommend the mix that fits.
